The Center for Media Production and Documentary Projects, Outreach Information Technology Support Services (ITSS), and Distributed Learning provide the technical infrastructure to the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education. The Center for Media Production supports the academic mission of the University by creating and distributing documentaries, radio programming, and locally produced television shows on its newly acquired OMTV cable access channel. Media Production provides media duplication services as well as facilities for classroom enhancement through multi-media projects.
Outreach ITSS oversees the Distributed Learning Network and provides computer and networking services across the Division. ITSS is responsible for operating and maintaining the videoconferencing system and associated classrooms for the delivery of distance learning courses in Oxford, Tupelo, Southaven, Booneville, and at the University Medical Center in Jackson. ITSS and Distributed Learning further serve the University and local communities by facilitating administrative meetings, and ad hoc video conferences. |
